Employerism
3rd EDITION
In partnership with the International Organization for Migration (IOM Brazil), with funding from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Mawon promotes the 3rd edition of the Employerism Project.
The program is designed to boost the entrepreneurial initiatives of the migrant population of Rio de Janeiro during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Aactivities carried out
ONLINE CLASSES
The program's pedagogical structure is created by the Novos Líderes Empreendedores organization, which offers exclusive content, combining a cultural approach, knowledge and tools for entrepreneurship and employability.
BUSINESS MENTORING
All participants in the Entrepreneurial Trail participate in mentoring sessions in small groups, in which migrants and refugees do exercises to fix the exposed content and discuss ways of applying this knowledge.
SEED CAPITAL
Business partParticipants in the Entrepreneurial Trail receive seed capital in the amount of R$1,000 (one thousand reais) to boost their enterprise. The benefit was only granted to Members who met the prerequisites for presence and completion of tasks.
PITCH
As the final challenge of the program, the participants presented a business plan to the evaluating board, which selected 5 initiatives to receive R$ 15,000 (one thousand reais) in prizes to leverage your business.
VITRUM
VITRUM is the exclusive Showcase for the exhibition of the participating developments. The purpose of this portal is to increase the visibility and sales volume of businesses.
