Employerism
5th EDITION
With funding from the Research Support Foundation of the State of Rio de Janeiro - FAPERJ, Mawon promotes the 5th Edition of the Employerism project (Program: E_37/2021FI - Category A - Favela Inteligente - 2021 - Project: Employerism). The project is an income generation opportunity for migrants and Brazilians residing in the city of Rocinha.
The project begins with a common learning path and is divided into two axes: employability and entrepreneurship. Employability to support migrants and Brazilians in accessing the formal labor market and entrepreneurship aimed at developing businesses, both in the initial phase and to scale their businesses.

SOCIAL LEGAL SERVICE
All participants and their families have socio-legal support from lawyers in order to guarantee access to migrant or refugee documentation so that they can fully exercise their civil rights in Brazil.
ONLINE CLASSES
The teaching program combines face-to-face and online classes, with most of the content being provided through Distance Education (EAD). Didactics are planned to allow students to learn autonomously. In addition, tutorials, mentorships and meetings are offered to clarify doubts in small groups. The pedagogical structure is developed by renowned professionals, providing exclusive content that combines cultural aspects with relevant knowledge and tools for entrepreneurship and employability.
Entrepreneurial Trail
BUSINESS MENTORING
Mentoring sessions in small groups, in which migrants and refugees do exercises to fix the exposed content and discuss ways of applying this knowledge.
Employability Trail
CAREER MENTORING & ACCESS TO THE LABOR MARKET
Group mentoring sessions, in which migrants do exercises to fix the exposed content and discuss ways of applying this knowledge. In addition to the programmatic content, participants have mentoring sessions with career guidance and/or guidance to get a job.
